There are many community and volunteer groups around Australia who are interested in recording and preserving Australia's living heritage.
Organisations big and small – heritage societies, advocacy groups, clubs, trusts – no matter what kind of organisation you represent, you have a unique story to tell. It may be about a place, a person, a thing, an interest, a collection – anything. The Community Heritage website is designed to house all these stories in one place and foster sharing and community discussion.
To get involved, register your group now. Once you register, your group will have its own profile page on the Community Heritage website. You will also be able to add stories, pictures and related links, and post announcements using the Community Heritage Twitter account
How do I submit my stories?
You can submit text, photos from your computer or from Flickr or videos from YouTube.
How many stories can I tell?
There is no limit. You can submit as many stories as you want.
Why should I tell my stories?
Sharing your stories on this website is the best way to record and preserve our living heritage. Anyone will be able to view or watch your stories. They can share these stories with their friends and add their own. You will also be able to reach out to new audiences and share content with those beyond your existing communities.
